SBR can increase the index of emulsified asphalt and increase with the addition amount. Its specific properties are to improve the softening point and low temperature ductility and reduce penetration. The three styrene-butadiene latexes selected were all A latex latex, in which the improvement of the softening point of the latex A was remarkable. When the amount of addition is 4.5%, the plasticity shows a downward trend, which is an odd value. According to the analysis, when the softening point increases, the ratio of styrene to butadiene in the latex is too high, the brittleness of the material is large, and the ductility is not improved. Under certain operating conditions, the evaporation residue is thick and the fluidity is extremely poor. It is difficult to fill the mold at 160 ° C, so it is necessary to raise the temperature (about 200 ° C) to prepare the sample, which will result in local aging of the asphalt and SBR. Stress value. Latex B has an ideal improvement in softening point and ductility. Latex C can significantly improve the ductility of the material and lower the softening point.
The performance of the SBR latex at the micro-surfacing has been significantly improved. With the increase of the amount of the material, the wet wheel wear value of the test material, the rolling wheel width deviation rate, the rutting rate and the amount of the binder sand were all significantly improved, and the cohesion was also changed. There is no obvious law, and the effect is good when the dose is 4.0%. The cohesive force reflects the early forming speed, which is mainly related to the type and amount of emulsifier, the type and amount of additives, the ratio of oil to stone, and the water consumption. It is difficult to judge the amount of SBR latex alone. Generally speaking, considering the factors such as cost and geographical climate, latex B is selected as the emulsified asphalt modifier under the premise of meeting the requirements of the specification, and the dosage is 4.0%~4.5%.
