A mordant for the cleaning and dyeing of detergents, printing plates. Used as a stabilizer for hydrogen peroxide drift in the printing and dyeing industry. It is a raw material for the manufacture of sodium cocarbonate and other phosphates, and is also a culture agent for MSG, erythromycin, penicillin, streptomycin and sewage biochemical treatment products. Also used in electroplating, food processing, as a quality improver.
